Harvard Square

jack-b-rochester-boston-area-author-writer-editor-ghostwriterEverybody needs a sense of place, which is what the JackBoston map is all about in general and what my fictional private eye characters are about in particular. Cambridge is cool. It’s their place. Through this pillared portal have passed many famous tenants, including Tom and Ray Magliozzi, better known as Click and Clack, the Tappet Brothers of NPR’s “Car Talk” radio show. [Full disclosure: I once conversed with Tom and Ray in their offices.] Across the hall is the office of Ossian Mac Brádaigh, my latest fictional private eye and the hero of the Kindle Novella, The Mystery of the Malcontent Misanthrope. Like novels by Alexandre Dumas and Charles Dickens, it was written in installments and first published on Fictional Café under a nom de plume [see photo]. That was fun, and nobody ever figured out it was me. Pretty sure. Maybe.
